Abstract
This study aims at finding out the social factors influencing the high-school teachers’ social burn-out. It is an applied survey study done in a section of time. The population was all the high-school teachers in Yasouj including 923 people 481 of whom were male teachers and the rest, 442 people, were female teachers. These people were chosen using the classification sampling optimum to size. The data collected by questionnaires was later analyzed with the SPSS software in forms of descriptive and analytical tables. The findings showed that there is a meaningful relationship between the independent variables (relative feeling of deprivation, social justice, and social alienation) and the fundamental variables (work experience and field of study) and the teachers’ social burn-out; however, no relationship between economic and social status, age and gender and social burn-out was found. The results obtained from regression show that the strongest relationship (correlation) belongs to social alienation variable and then emotional deprivation, while work experience, field of study, etc. rank next. It is also shown that the variables entered into the regression have been able to clarify 41% of the variations of the dependent variables i.e. social burn-out.
Keywords: relative feeling of deprivation, social burn-out, feeling of social justice, feeling of social alienation, teachers of Yasouj.
